At the 2015 Christmas carol service in Maghaberry, worship leader Sophie lead the praise and Andy Campbell shared the word. It was attended by prisoners together with ministry for justice, Mr David Ford, upper management of the prison service and several church leaders.
After the service, the governor approached Sophie and asked her to establish a choir within the prison. It's been exciting to see what's been happening since. So far, about forty men have participated in choir practice on Fridays. There is no doubt that God is at work within these walls.
As men sing out the truths of faith, many have found the truth of that faith to become part of their story. New believers are now lifting their voices in praise and worship. Over the past year we have had the privilege of leading many inmates to salvation and have also witnessed a number of supernatural healings. We have also seen blessing on the lives of those who work in the prison.
As you would expect, access to the prison is restricted but if you would like to hear more about the great things God is doing please talk to Andy Campbell.
